Our Establish program combines the very best of private music tuition and wider musicianship skills training.

Our private lessons offer students the chance to develop personalised learning and technique on the instrument of their choice. Private lessons are highly tailored to students’ individual music taste, skill level, age and personal goals so you are always progressing at your own pace.

Flexible Scheduling – Can’t make a lesson? We have a flexible makeup lesson program for you that takes the stress out of cancelations.

 Almost anyone can sing, but it is the art of having the confidence complete control over the sound we make and when that establishes true singing mastery.Singing lessons will cover essential subjects such as:

  • Correct vocal technique and control
  • Vocal Flexibility/ Dexterity/ Stamina
  • Vocal anatomy and instrument understanding
  • Scales and exercises
  • Rhythm/timing and form
  • Note reading and comprehension
  • Theory

Children’s lessons are often song-oriented with technique added in order not to overwhelm or bore them. A broad range of songs is covered to introduce students to a wide variety of music genres.

Teen and Adult lessons tend to have more technical approach depending on the individual’s preference and cover a more specific technique and song instruction depending on the student’s goals and music taste.

Singers have the most opportunity to extend or supplement their learning with our musical theatre or drama classes if they wish.

Guitar solos, chords or shred riffs. This melodic instrument is as as versatile as it’s player and an all time favorite for many musicans.

Drum lessons will cover essential music tuition subjects such as:

  • Instrument-specific technique
  • Finger Dexterity
  • Strumming patterns
  • Exercises
  • Rhythm and timing
  • Music note reading and comprehension
  • Note/Sight reading
  • Music theory
  • Expression

Young beginner students are taught specific foundation aspects that will provide them with the skills they need to support them for later development.

Teen and Adult lessons are also treated with the same technical ideas, but progress in a different way much more tailored to their specific needs.

We do recommend that all beginner students learn on an acoustic guitar. This is to develop and solidify skills they will need in higher levels. At a time specified by the teacher, students can move on to learn the electric guitar, but students may choose to stay on acoustic if they choose.

There is no doubt every drummer learns to become a master and co-ordenation and rhythm. It are these specific skills that drummers really get to excel in.

  • Music note reading and comprehension

As drums is dependent on a good sense of Rhythm you can expect the class is going to be rhythm-heavy. What is covered in lessons depends on the student’s age, experience level and interests. No matter the approach students all students are taught essential skills regarding drums.

No matter the approach students all students are taught essential skills regarding violin such as:

  • Aural (Listening) training and recognition.
  • Finger placement
  • Finger Dexterity
  • Rhythm
  • Note reading
  • Scales and exercises
  • Music theory

Violin is very dependant on good listening skills, so you can expect a lot of listening will be needed for this subject.

Violin is also known to be unforgiving. While it is a beautiful instrument when mastered, it can sometimes be unrewarding in the beginning. Expect to take a while before to bow sounds angelic when sliding across the strings, but don’t let that put you off. After some time of hard work, the violin is one of the most beautiful sounding instruments.

Violin is an exam-driven subject, but it is not only for classical music. There are many modern and contemporary options for violin. Just be prepared to dedicate a lot of practice to this instrument.

Frequently asked questions

There are some essential music skills that simply can’t be learned in private lessons but are equally important. Allowing students the time to experience and practise these skills is the only way they will be able to develop these skills.
Our mixed learning approach in private lesson heavy but students can also enjoy Essential Musicianship classes approximately once a month to learn and practise these vital skills.

The very important and almost always overlooked skills every musician needs to full understand the subject of music.
Essential Musicianship Classes focus on the subjects that can not be learned in a private or solo capacity. Performance training, interaction and playing with other musicians, songwriting, collaboration and performance practise.
These subjects are almost always overlooked in private music tuition but are just as important and aid towards mastering your instrument and if that’s not enough think about it this way? You’re investing so much time and money into learning. Don’t you want the most out of that investment as possible?

Your private lessons are highly customisable and will be tailored to you. As all of the attention is on you, our teachers will adjust their teaching to cater to your goals.

We highly recommend our mixed learningEstablish program as the best option to foster and learn your musicianship skills but we do have a solo option for students who prefer the solo method. We take students of all different ages from 5 years old. We often get asked if we teach adults. The answer is YES! It’s never too late to learn!
