GUS COXRYAN SMITH
Guitar – Bass Guitar – Drums – Trumpet
Gus has been involved with music since he was 7 years of age and has continued to learn and perform since then. He studied both trumpet and guitar while in highschool and began learning drums from age 18 onwards. Gus has a keen interest in Jazz and any type of music that involves improvisation. But also draws inspiration from such as progressive metal, Rock, Blues and Funk.
Since graduating his Bachelor of Music Performance from Victoria University in 2018 he has performed in various settings from guitar/singer duos, jazz ensembles, rock and funk bands. The most recent of which being a ‘Grateful Dead’ Tribute Band and a Folk Rock band.
He has been teaching guitar casually since 2016, in studio’s, at home and in a primary and high school settings. He has a passion for helping students reach their personal musical goals, as well as assisting students with VCE exams and recital preparation.

- Certificate 1-7 in Modern Guitar ANZCA
- Certificate 2-3 in Theory ANZCA
- VET Music Industry in Performance & Audio II-III
- Bachelor of Music Degree from JMC Academy
